Overview
The 6-day tour of Queen, Kibale, and Bwindi from Kigali combines wildlife and primate encounters in Uganda’s finest parks. Begin your expedition at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get up close with the massive mountain gorillas, cross to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife/big game viewing with a chance to see the tree-climbing lions, and the last destination will be Kibale National Park where the chimpanzee tracking will be done. This is an unusual primate and wildlife tour, expected to begin and end in Kigali.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi from Kigali- Uganda safari
After breakfast, meet your driver guide for pick up and briefing in Kigali. Start your trip with a Kigali city tour and you will be visiting Kigali/Gisozi genocide center, Kimironko market, and other historical centers then settle for lunch. After lunch, board your tour vehicle ready to cross to Uganda via Chanika/Katuna border to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will check in at a safari lodge for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Track Bwindi Forest Park gorillas & visit the Batwa village
Today is your D-day to meet the gentle giants -mountain gorillas in their natural habitat and you will be expected to gather at the park offices for briefing and to be assigned park guides. Trekking through the dense vegetation and steep slopes of Bwindi to see gorilla families starts at 8:00 am, lasting for 2-6 hours and this includes one hour of a close encounter. After photography and observing the daily behavior of these humble creatures, start walking back to the lodge to relax then later, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Day 3: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector
Leave Bwindi early after breakfast, and cross to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second largest park 1978sq.km vast savanna park. Access the park via its Southern sector- Ishasha where you will have a short game drive mainly to see the tree-climbing lions and later, proceed to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Full-day game drive & boat excursion- Queen Elizabeth Park
Start your day with breakfast, after, set off to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park on a game drive along Kasenyi Plains. This area is endowed with wildlife and today, your checklist encounter will include lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, antelopes, hyenas, birds, warthogs, and many others. Retreat from a game drive, have enough to relax and have lunch, then proceed to the Kazinga channel for a boat excursion. A boat excursion allows you to enjoy the sight of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Day 5: Drive to Kibale & afternoon chimpanzee tracking
Enjoy an early morning breakfast, and after, set off for Kibale National Park located in the Kabarole district. This park is home to 13 species of primates, including 1500 chimpanzees, l’hoest monkeys, baboons, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and black & white colobus monkeys. Settle for lunch at a classic lodge, and in the afternoon, gather at the Kanyanchu tourist center for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking rules. After you will start your trek to explore chimpanzees, take pictures and return to the lodge for relaxation.
