Queen Elizabeth National Park is a Ugandan National Park located in the Western part of the country. It is a 1978sq.km extensive park, established in 1952 and offers refuge to a diversity of savanna wildlife, especially buffaloes, lions, leopards, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, topis, Kobs, hippos, crocodiles, and over 520 bird species.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a Ugandan safari park, lies on the Southwestern side of the country, established in 1991 and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. This is a 331sq.km park, largely dominated by a dense tropical forest where more than 459 of the world’s 1063 mountain gorillas live making it Africa’s top mountain gorilla trekking destination. In total, over 120 mammal species reside in Bwindi, 350 bird species plus other animal and floral species.
Kibale National Park is Uganda’s primate destination, located in the western part and this sits on a land area of 795sq.km. It is dominated by a tropical forest where more than 13 primate species are confined, sharing the same habitat with 375 bird species, several butterflies, floral species, reptiles, amphibians, and more. This is where chimpanzee tracking will be done on your 5 days Queen, Bwindi, and Kibale tour from Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kibale National Park (5 to 6 hours’ drive)
Have a delicious breakfast back in your hotel in Entebbe city, after, meet your Uganda safari guide/driver guide for an early morning briefing about the 5 days Queen, Bwindi, and Kibale tour from Entebbe. Leave Entebbe for Kibale National Park in Western Uganda, your first destination as per this Uganda tour package and this will be a 5-6 hour drive. Set off from Entebbe via the Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal city route and in Fort Portal, settle for lunch then proceed to check in at the lodge.
Early arrivals will include a visit to Bigodi Wetlands late in the afternoon for a guided nature walk. Bigodi swamp is a rich primate site located near Kibale Forest and a variety of primates and birds will be spotted. After, return to the lodge for a leisurely dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kibale Forest chimp trekking & Queen Elizabeth Park (evening boat cruise)
Early in the morning, have breakfast, and later, transfer to Kanyanchu for briefing about chimpanzee tracking rules and to be assigned a park guide. Leave Kanyanchu at 8:00 am for the actual trek through Kibale Forest to see chimpanzees and this adventure will last for 2-4 hours. A special one hour will be enjoyed exploring chimpanzee behaviors and taking pictures.
On the chimpanzee trek, you will be viewing other primates including the red-tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, pottos, bush babies, and many forest birds. Return to the lodge, have lunch and later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have an evening boat cruise tour on the Kazinga channel for 2 hours. The Kazinga channel boat trip lets you see hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds, and several buffaloes, and elephants, or you will relax at the lodge.

Day 3: Game drive & Bwindi
After a leisurely breakfast, leave the lodge for the Kasenyi game drive for 2-3 hours and you will be viewing elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, birds, warthogs and on a lucky day the leopards. Get back, check out of the lodge and drive to Ishasha where you will have a short game drive to enjoy the view of the tree-climbing lions, then settle for a bush lunch. After lunch, start your journey to Bwindi National Park to check in at the lodge in the Buhoma sector.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest Mountain gorillas & Batwa pygmies’ cultural visit
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Park offices for a briefing about the guidelines for mountain gorilla trekking. Meet the park official and the gorilla families will also be allocated to each group of 8 guests. An actual visit to see gorillas begins at 8:00 am, taking 2-6 hours, and it includes one hour of a magical encounter & photography.
Return from tracking gorillas to enjoy a leisurely lunch and later in the evening, visit the Batwa pygmies' local community. You will be led by the Batwa pygmies guide with vast experience in the Batwa cultures, traditions, lifestyles, and more.

Day 5: Bwindi-Entebbe city
