4-Day Tour of Queen & Bwindi from Entebbe

Overview 

Enjoy our ultimate 4-day tour of Queen & Bwindi from Entebbe. This short Uganda safari combines wildlife/game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Queen Elizabeth Park is Uganda’s second largest park located on the Western side of the country. A game drive and boat cruise will be done at Queen Elizabeth NP and mountain gorilla encounters in Bwindi.

Bwindi National Park lies in Kabale, Southwestern Uganda and it is where 459 mountain gorillas reside. This is a 331sq.km park, with 4 gorilla trekking regions -Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, and Rushaga. Your expedition to explore the two protected areas on Uganda safari starts and ends in Entebbe city.

Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park BINP (8-9 hours’ drive)

Day one will be spent for you to transfer to Bwindi National Park and set off at Entebbe. Over 8-9 hours will be spent on the road, but comes with a stopover visit at Uganda Equator and lunch at the Igongo cultural center. Proceed to Kabale with a scenic drive while viewing the rolling hills, and arrive early to check in at your pre-booked lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Queen Elizabeth NP

Delicious breakfast in the morning, followed by a briefing about gorilla trekking guidelines at Bwindi National Park offices. You will leave the Buhoma sector or any other gorilla tracking region at 8:00 am and begin the search for gorilla families, about a 2-6 hour adventure that includes an hour of photography and exploring gorillas’ behaviors. Return to the lodge where you will check out, and drive to Queen Elizabeth NP through the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions can be spotted.

Day 3: Game drive & Kazinga boat tour

After breakfast, set off for a game drive along Kasenyi plains for 2-3 hours using a 4x4 tourist vehicle. A variety of savanna animals will be viewed including large herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, antelopes, leopards, warthogs, birds, and many more. In the afternoon, a boat cruise tour will be enjoyed along the Kazinga channel. Several aquatic life will be spotted during a boat tour including hippos, crocodiles, and birds, then you will get back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 4: Departure for Entebbe city 

A hefty breakfast will be had early in the morning, after, check out of the lodge and start your return trip to Entebbe city. Lunch will be enjoyed at a hotel in Mbarara and you proceed to the Equator for photo taking. After driving to a hotel in Entebbe for relaxation, this will mark the end of 4 days Queen, Bwindi tour from Entebbe.
