The 2-day Bwindi fly-in safari from Entebbe offers a lifetime opportunity for you to meet the gentle giants in the mist-dense Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This short tour package includes mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Southwestern Uganda. Your gorilla adventure trip begins with a flight from Entebbe Airport to Kihihi airstrip where your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the lodge.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was created in 1991 and it spreads covering 331sq.km of land area. This is dominated by a dense tropical forest and other vegetation types providing refuge to 120 mammal species which include 459 endangered mountain gorillas, forest elephants, chimpanzees, and colobus monkeys, plus 350 bird species.

Day 1: Fly-in tour to Bwindi
Meet your driver guide and drive to Entebbe Airport to catch up with your flight to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip in Southwestern Uganda. Flying to Kihihi airstrips is ideal if you are visiting gorilla families in Ruhija and Buhoma then from Kisoro airstrip, you can easily connect to Rushaga or Nkuringo sector for gorilla trekking. Expect to spend 2 hours on a flight from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) to Kisoro/Kihihi airstrip, and meet your driver guide for transfer to the lodge for evening relaxation.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & fly back to Entebbe Airport
After a hefty breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunch and enough bottled mineral water. Assemble at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for the 7:00 am briefing about gorilla trekking rules. You will leave the briefing point once a gorilla family and park guides have been assigned to you.
Tracking Bwindi gorillas takes about 2-6 hours depending on your speed of hiking and it includes an hour of a magical encounter with gorillas and taking photos. After a magical encounter with gorillas, return to the lodge to check out and later, transfer to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip to fly back to Entebbe Airport.
