Detailed Itinerary

Kigali-Bwindi for gorilla trekking & return 

Being a short gorilla tour, you will be expected to set off early from Kigali with a packed breakfast to be enjoyed en route to Bwindi. Clear at Chanika/Katuna border early, and cross to Bwindi National Park for briefing about gorilla trekking rules. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is found in Southwestern Uganda, and you will meet the park official to assign you a gorilla group to visit. 

 

Each of the park’s habituated gorilla families is visited by a maximum of 8 guests each day. Your trek to see these gentle giants takes from 2-6 hours or less depending on your speed, the location of the gorillas, and the nature of the habitat. Once you come across the mountain gorilla family never return without capturing their pictures, and later, return to meet your driver guide. Before you set off, a gorilla trekking certificate will be given to you and then you proceed with your journey to Kigali which marks the end of 1-day gorilla trekking Bwindi from Kigali.
